Making Hand Dyed Yarn & Handwoven Silk Wool(Jamdani)
Description
Jamdani is an art carrying traditions, from dying of yarn to weaving the same into beautiful patterns using extra weft, every step carries an element of nostalgia in it. This multicolored silk wrap has been yarn-dyed and handwoven in the Jamdani style of weaving. The weavers have been doing this craft for over 3 generations i.e. 200+ years and the youngest weaver brought this design of a stone wall, bunch of odd-shaped stones over one another, without a sketch. Earlier they used to stay in mud houses in the village while his newly built house has a stone wall, which inspired him to come up with this beautiful colorful wrap.
